One Year Diploma in Industrial Safety– What does it offer?

Work place accidents due to human error or machine failure cause loss of invaluable human lives, machinery and real estate assets. Awareness on impending danger at work places and employing trained staff to handle adverse situation, can reduce the chance and impact of mishaps at work sites.

Diploma in Industrial Safety formulated by Green World Group is a Government of India initiated training program, which focuses on various work site safety issues. Students/workers, who undergo this course, will acquire knowledge, skills and awareness to maintain safe and healthy work environment not only for themselves but also those in the surrounding areas.

The one year course teaches students how to minimize risks, injuries and accidents by adopting Risk management techniques and safety management operations, improve the health of self and also co-workers, monitor the operating systems and bolster general safety measures.

With the rise in work place mishaps around the world, it is imperative to adopt proper updated safety measures and skills in industrial safety to protect, not only human lives, but also the environment and existing assets.

How will you be assessed?

One needs to clear six theory papers:

  • PAPER 1 – OCCUPATION HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
  • PAPER 2 – SAFETY & SECURITY MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
  • PAPER 3 – ORGANIZATION, ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY AND LEGAL ASPECTS
  • PAPER 4 – HAZARDS AND IMPLEMENTATIONS OF SAFE WORKING PRACTICES
  • PAPER 5 – INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND RISK ANALYSIS & RISK MANAGEMENT
  • PAPER 6 – SAFETY MANAGEMENT OF PLANTS DURING COMMISSIONING AND MAINTENANCE

Examination details:

  • Paper 1, 2 & 3 combined: 2 hours written exam – 10 questions (no choice) – 100 marks
  • Paper 4, 5 & 6 combined: 2 hours written exam – 10 questions (no choice) – 100 marks

Seminar on Industrial safety

A twelve-day seminar on Industrial safety will be held, subject to availability of minimum number of candidates in the batch, at GWG Business Center in Chennai, India during the course of the training programme. A fee will be collected from those who attend the seminar; however, attendance is not compulsory.

Students can clear their doubts from the experts, who will be available on all days, through e-mails and other available communication modes.

Will course material be provided?

The course material, which are of international standard and published by the Green World Group, can be availed. The same is also been promoted by the Indian government.

About certification

Candidates who clear the exams conducted after one year will be provided with certification within one month from the date of proclamation of results. The certificates are being issues by the Central Board of Examination & National Development agency, Government of India. Students who secure first class and distinction will be given certificates.

Fee Structure

Fee collected from students for Diploma in Industrial Safety consists of administration fee, course material and also the, examination fee.
